Peace Prayer of St. Francis

Anonymous

14 passagesc. 1912

1Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:

2where there is hatred, let me sow love;

3where there is injury, pardon;

4where there is doubt, faith;

5where there is despair, hope;

6where there is darkness, light;

7where there is sadness, joy.

8O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

9to be consoled as to console,

10to be understood as to understand,

11to be loved as to love.

12For it is in giving that we receive,

13it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

14and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
